Chapter XXI

Today, the rankings from stage two came out, and unsurprisingly, Tris is in 1st place. That night, Tris is taken from the dormitory and taken and beaten. She recognizes a couple of her kidnappers. Peter and Al. No big surprise from Peter, but Al? Why would Al do this? The beating continues and Tris becomes too weak to fight back. Right as she is about to be thrown over the chasm and into the pit of crashing water, someone saves her, that someone is Four.
