Right as Tris enters the simulation, she immediately remembers several scenarios that she encountered before. The first scene is the crows. She overcomes this scene relatively easy. She grabs a gun that she imagines on the ground and shoots all of the crows that are attacking her. This is pretty cool. I wish I could just imagine something and it would sit right in front of me. How convenient! The next scene, the glass box, gets her just a bit. She discovers she can't break the box the same way as last time and she starts to panic. She tells herself to calm down and use the fear on the glass box.
"My heartbeat speeds up. What if I can't break the glass unless I'm under duress?"
She uses her super strength to break the box and move on to the next scene! The next scene is again about water. She must control herself on this scene to overcome it. Tris quickly finds out that it is a river. Once she analyzes the scene correctly, she maneuvers her way over to shore and moves on. At this point, she's on fire, literally. Tris finds Peter to be burning her with fire. But, oddly enough, Tris maintains composure and summons rain to come and rescue her. What a brilliant idea! The next scene Tris is being kidnapped. She begins to freak out for a short time, then she regains her composure and finds a room where she could hide. Surprisingly enough, this moves her on to the next stage. This stage is about her relationship with Tobias. The two are very close, and Tobias begins making Tris uncomfortable. This is uncomfortable for Tris because she believes the relationship is moving along too quickly. She says no to Tobias, and moves on. Talk about getting rejected! The final stage of Tris's simulation is by far the most difficult. Jeanine the antagonist is forcing Tris to shoot her family. Tris makes a very Abnegation-like move by shooting herself hence saving her family.
